Scope and updates
This policy applies to the Starland app (Chinese name: 记忆岛). Service provider: Shukuinan. Privacy contact: [email protected].
Starland is local-first. The current version has no accounts, cloud sync, advertising, behavioural analytics, or cross-app tracking.
Information we process
When you choose to record a memory, the app stores on your device: memory text, emotion and island classifications, timestamps and personal anchors; photos you select; and audio you actively record.
This information is used only to save, display, organise and play your memories in the app. The current version does not send memory content to Starland, DeepSeek, or any other AI service.
Storage, permissions and retention
Text, classifications and preferences are stored in local app storage. Photos and recordings are stored in the app’s local sandbox.
The app requests microphone and photo-library access only when you use the relevant feature. You can manage permissions in system settings at any time. Memories stay on your device and are not uploaded to the cloud. The current version does not support deleting memories inside the app; they remain until you uninstall the app. If iOS device backup is enabled, data may be included according to Apple’s backup settings.
No sharing, tracking or sale
Starland does not sell, rent or share your memory content. It does not use advertising SDKs, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking.
If you purchase a subscription, Apple processes payment through the App Store and StoreKit; Starland does not receive your full payment-card information. Pricing, renewal and cancellation follow the App Store terms and purchase screen.
If we add accounts, cloud sync, AI processing, or analytics, we will update this policy before enabling them and seek consent where required. For questions, contact the support email above.
